DRDO has announced apprentice recruitment for its Defence Scientific Information and Documentation Centre (DESIDOC), inviting eligible candidates to apply. Under this recruitment drive, candidates can apply for positions in fields such as Library and Information Science, Photography or Videography, and Computer Science.

Who can work with DRDO?
Candidates who apply under the DRDO Apprentice Recruitment 2026 will be selected through the recruitment process, after which they will be eligible to undergo training under DRDO experts. However, before applying, candidates should ensure that they meet the required educational qualifications for their respective trade.
For **Library and Information Science**, candidates must have a bachelor's degree along with a one-year degree in Library and Information Science.
For **Computer Science**, candidates must have a BE/B.Tech degree or a three-year diploma.
For **Photography or Videography**, candidates must have a three-year diploma in the relevant field or an ITI certificate.
Only candidates who completed their degree or diploma in **2024 or 2025** are eligible to apply. Candidates who graduated before 2024 and postgraduate (PG) candidates are **not eligible** under this recruitment.
Age limit:
The maximum age limit is **28 years**. As per government rules, SC/ST candidates will receive a relaxation of **5 years** in the upper age limit, while OBC candidates may receive a relaxation of **3 years**.
