Now students will be given training in making, flying and repairing drones in Delhi University, seeing the utility of drones across the country, a course called Pilot Training for Drones is being started for the students. It will be started under the School of Open Learning. So far, a total of 12 courses have been started in the field of innovation in the school of Open Learning, Drone Training Innovation Center is going to have its 13th course. Students from all over the country can apply to be a part of this course.


Professor Payal Mago, Director, Campus of Open Learning, says that earlier there were no innovative courses in the School of Open Learning, but in the last two years, many courses have also been started in Open Learning, so that children move towards innovation in less time and do some skilled course.

According to the Director of the School of Open Learning, the Prime Minister of the country also started the Drone Didi Initiative. Along with this, he is working a lot to see India as a big drone power in the coming times and this is also the vision of Delhi University, under which now students will be taught to fly drones and use it.


How to take admission in drone course?

It is very easy to get admission in this course. Admission under the School of Open Learning will start from July 21. On this day, you can apply in online or offline mode, currently the course will start from beginner level, in which training will be given to fly drones. After this, at the next level, students will also be taught to make drones and repair them. Let us tell you that this entire course will be of 40 hours, that is, it will be completed in a few months. In this, students will also be given practical knowledge along with theory.


What is the fee and duration of the course?

To get a degree in this course, the student must have passed 12th. Apart from this, no separate criteria has been kept for admission. The fee of this course is only Rs 10 thousand. After completing the training, students will also be given a certificate of drone pilot. For this course, Delhi University has joined hands with a drone company named Farrata. This company was created by those people who know the Armed Forces very closely. Delhi University is going to train students to make and fly drones in the coming time in collaboration with this group. This group is from Chandigarh which has been making drones for the past several years.


Students will be trained with drone!

Farrata's drone pilot and founder Sandeep says that he himself comes from a defense background and has been very interested in drones. In such a situation, he decided with his friends that not only drones should be made but drone training should also be given in college. He uses Just Drone. This type of drone is also used on borders. It weighs about 5 kg and it works like surveillance i.e. CCTV. Once it is flown in the air, it takes pictures of a radius of up to 3 kilometers and also identifies humans and objects in it. Sandeep says that today drones are being used in every area of India. In Delhi NCR, many restaurants are now getting food delivered through drones and pharmaceutical companies are also getting medicines delivered through drones.
