Delhi Mahila Samriddhi Scheme: Your Chance for Rs 2,500 Monthly Support !
The Delhi government is all set to introduce the Mahila Samriddhi Scheme, aimed at providing financial assistance to women. Under this initiative, eligible women will receive Rs 2,500 every month. With an expected reach of 15-20 lakh women across the city, this scheme promises to make a significant impact.
Eligibility Criteria:
Women aged between 18 and 60 years can apply, provided their household income is below Rs 3 lakh per annum. Please note that government employees and those already benefiting from other government financial aids are not eligible. Women over 60 can apply for an old-age pension, which excludes them from this scheme as well.
The launch date for the scheme is set for March 8, coinciding with the start of the registration process.
How to Apply:
An online portal will be established, allowing women to submit their applications easily. The IT department is developing specialized software to confirm eligibility. The application process will be connected to Aadhaar cards, ensuring officials can verify if applicants are currently receiving any government assistance.
Additionally, data from the Chief Electoral Officer and the Food and Civil Supplies Department will assist in identifying eligible women. Information from below poverty line (BPL) records and the Income Tax department will also be utilized for thorough verification.
The government plans to increase the budget for the scheme in the coming financial year to expand its reach and benefit even more women.
Best wishes!
