BA Education in DTU!

BA course started in Delhi Teachers University, CUET is not necessary, admission will be done directly on 12th marks.

B.A Admission 2024: 

Bachelor degree course is starting in Delhi Teachers University. BA Education Honors course has started in DTU. Admission is starting from this year. CUET will not be required for BA Education Course. Admission will be given directly on 12th marks.

Now undergraduate course studies will also start in Delhi Teachers University (DTU). The university is starting it with BA Education Honors Course. This course has been designed under the National Education Policy (NEP). The university is currently running Master of Arts- Education (M.Ed) course, for which the admission process is going on these days.

DTU: PhD course after BA Education.

Delhi Teachers University Vice Chancellor Prof. Dhananjay Joshi says, 'This time it is the second year of our MA Education course and now we are starting BA Hons Education. It has been prepared under the National Education Policy. It is a four-year course.'

He said that 'BA Education course is being run in only a few institutions in the country. In such a situation, this new course will bring special opportunities for the students of Delhi. After doing a four-year UG course, the student will have only one year PG course i.e. MA Education. Under the new decision of UGC, after four years of UG, they will be able to apply for PhD. Delhi Teachers University will also start PhD program in future.'

Seats in DTU's BA Education in the first year:

This year 50 seats have been kept in BA Hons Education. This year admissions will be based on merit i.e. 12th score. In future, the university can consider admission through Common University Entrance Test (CUET). The registration process for this course will start in August.

The university also runs two online certificate programs:

1. Certificate Program in School Education.
2. Certificate Program in Higher Education Pedagogy.

The university's list includes more courses, which will run after getting approval from the concerned regulatory body. These include four-year Integrated Teacher Education Program (ITEP), B.Ed, M.Ed.

Land allotted for campus in DTU Narela:

This university of Delhi Government is currently running from its temporary campus in Outram Lane, Mukherjee Nagar. Its main campus will be built in Narela. The VC said that 12.5 acres of land has been allotted to the university from DDA and construction can start from this year. Delhi Teachers University started in 2022. This university, formed with the aim of preparing excellent school teachers and also giving information about new methods and activities related to teaching to the teachers of higher education institutes, is currently running M.Ed course and two certificate courses.
