CUET-UG Exam 2024: The Common University Entrance Test is one of the biggest UG entrance tests, which serves as the gateway for admission to undergraduate programs of universities across India. CUET UG exam was conducted from 15 May to 29 May 2024 for 29 domain subjects. Let us know, what is the minimum passing marks to pass the CUET UG exam.


CUET-UG Exam 2024: Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate Exam is a of total 800 marks. Certainly, students have to score maximum marks to get admission to the prestigious institutions of the country. In such a situation, it is necessary to know what is the minimum passing marks to pass the CUET UG exam, so let us tell you that no minimum passing marks have been ensured by NTA. There are many different courses and programs in the CUET exam, each of which has different CUET passing marks and other prerequisites. What are the passing marks for all sections?


As per the estimated figures, students must score at least 300 to 400 marks to pass the CUET UG exam. The CUET passing marks for the General and OBC categories are expected to be between 400 to 450. The minimum passing marks for both CUET Section-I Language A and B will be between 80 to 90. A minimum of 120 marks is required to pass the CUET Section-I Domain Specific Subjects.


Unlike many traditional exams that have a fixed passing mark, CUET does not have a standard passing mark that applies to all courses, subjects, and colleges.


Expected classification of CUET passing marks:

The very good score is 700+, and the normalized score is expected to be above 200.

The good scores in CUET are between 500-650, and the normalized score is between 170-200.

The average score in CUET is between 400-600, and the normalized score is between 140-170.

The minimum score in CUET will be between 200-400, and the normalized score will be between 110-130.


Who determines the cut-off and how?


The exam board will soon announce the CUET UG exam cut-off. Participating institutes will determine their cut-off scores. Students must score equal to or above the expected cut-off marks to be considered for the merit list.
